| What is Equine
Assisted Learning (EAL)?
EAL (also
referred to as Equine Experiential Learning and Equine
Guided Education), can facilitate personal growth and
development, enhance relationship skills, and provide
guidance for one's personal journey towards
individuation.
In
business or group settings, EAL can be used to
facilitate teambuilding and leadership development.
Horses, as prey animals, are extremely alert to their
environment and live fully in the present moment.
Through a variety of experiences and exercises with a
horse or horses, the human participants are guided to a
deeper level of self-knowledge and understanding, as the
horse's behavior mirrors that of the participant to
provide immediate, nonthreatening feedback.
EAL is performed from the ground with no riding and no
horse experience necessary. We engage with a small herd
of gentle, human-curious horses especially trained for
this experiential learning work with humans. |
